MARINE POWER EASY ANIONS

MARINE POWER EASY ANIONS has been designed for the supplementation of micronutrients in marine aquarium. The liquid contains iodine and fluoride which are necessary for the healthy development of marine invertebrates. The formula of the liquid has been developed to provide optimal nutrition to enhance the condition of the inhabitants of the marine aquarium.
MARINE POWER EASY ANIONS has been formulated to complement the MARINE POWER EASY CATIONS, therefore we recommend using these products together.

Iodine
Iodine is an essential element required for the metabolism of cells of many marine invertebrates, such as sponges, tunicates, crustaceans, corals, etc. In a mature marine aquarium it is intensively consumed, so its level quickly drops below optimum. Iodine is largely responsible for the blue colour of corals and it is also required for the proper development of shellfish shells, e.g. shrimps and crabs.

Fluorine
The scientific research suggests the importance of fluorine for the calcification of stony corals. Fluorine also helps to control the amount of zooxanthella in the tissues of the corals, which helps to achieve brightening of their colours.

Optimal levels of iodine and fluorine
In natural reef waters iodine is about 0.06 mg/l (at salinity of 35 ppt). In a marine aquarium, the iodine level should not exceed 0.1 mg/l. In natural sea water fluorine does not exceed 1.4 mg/l (at salinity 35 ppt). In the aquarium, the fluorine level should be kept below 2 mg/l.

The use of MARINE POWER EASY ANIONS
Both components of the liquid (iodine and fluorine) are necessary for many metabolic processes of marine invertebrates but with dynamically developing stony corals, their amount can quickly fall below the optimal values. Small deficiency of these elements is not dangerous for corals, but it can affect their condition and inhibit their growth. In systems, where levels of nitrates (NO3-) and phosphates (PO43-) are undetectable for a long period of time, MARINE POWER EASY ANIONS will help you achieve satisfying colours – especially blues, and pinks.

Dosage
In order to maintain healthy levels of iodine and fluorine, add 20 ml (one full cap) per 100 l of water every 4-5 days.
Due to the fact that the excess of iodine and fluorine may be harmful to the inhabitants of the aquarium, the recommended doses should not be exceeded.
